How to Manage Lead Details
Lead Details is a section on the Lead record in the Leads tab. In this section you will see Lead Details that will become the Sale Information if converted to a Customer. Below are details on this section.
Lead Status
This is the status of the Lead. Currently, there is a set of available statuses set by SecurityTrax that you can choose from. Use these to move a lead through a process.
Changing a Lead's Status
- To Change a status, click on Change Status at the top of the section.
- Note: the Lead Details section cannot be in edit mode to see this button. If you are in edit mode, simply click Save or Cancel and you will see this button.
- Select a status from the dropdown.
- Note: Some statuses will required you to select an option from a second dropdown.
Callback Time
This is the date/time that the Lead Rep is to call the lead.
Source Information
These are details and notes on the Source as it was defined when creating the Lead.
Interactions
Here, you can list the details on each interaction you have with a Lead.
To Add a new Interaction
- Click on Add in the Interactions section.
- Note: the Lead Details section cannot be in edit mode to see this button. If you are in edit mode, simply click Save or Cancel and you will see this button.
- Type in the interaction notes.
- Click Save.
- Note: Once you click Save, you cannot edit this interaction anymore.
To View an Interaction
- Click on the Interaction row.
- This will open a window with full details.
- Note: These are read-only.
Converting a Lead to a Customer
Converting a Lead to a Customer will change the record from a Lead to a Customer and the Lead record will not be visible as a Lead anymore. However, you will still be able to see a Lead Details summary on the Customer. Details below.
Important notes on converting a Lead to a customer:
- The Lead ID number will remain with the account and become the Customer ID number.
- Any Tags added to a Lead will stay with the account and show in the Customer record after converting.
- In the Lead Details section, click Convert to Customer.
- Note: the Lead Details section cannot be in edit mode to see this button. If you are in edit mode, simply click Save or Cancel and you will see this button
- Select an Office Location and a Sales Rep if available.
- The Lead has now been converted to a Customer.
