To Delete or Unlink an Electronic Document Envelope

To delete an envelope

Deleting an envelope is only possible before the envelope is complete and all signing has occurred. 

  1. While in the customer record, click Files.
  2. In the Electronic Documents section, click on the desired envelope's row.
  3. While in the envelope, click Delete.
  4. The envelope will be deleted and a confirmation message will appear at the top of the page.

 

To unlink an envelope

Unlinking an envelope is only possible after the envelope is complete and all signing has occurred. Note: Unlinking the envelope does NOT void the contact. A legally binding envelope will still exist in DocuSign.

  1. While in the customer record, click Files.
  2. In the Electronic Documents section, click on the desired envelope's row.
  3. While in the envelope, click Unlink.
  4. A confirmation window will appear. Click Unlink to continue.
  5. The envelope will be unlinked and a confirmation message will appear at the top of the page.
