Funding

Funding is used for dealers who work with entities (usually a Central Station/Monitoring Company) who fund the customer's account. Funding in Securitytrax is transactional. This allows you to track money that is expected, received, and outstanding. Funding is designed to be flexible enough for you to use the best way it works for you. Set up your site for Funding by following the steps below.

 

Terms

Funder

The dealer or entity that is providing the funding.

Funder Selection Reason

The reason for selecting this Funder. 

Funding Transaction Types

The type of transaction being added to a Funding entry. By default all sites will have 3 types pre-created: Charge back; Funding; and Holdback

 

Setup

Setup options are located in the Company Settings. To navigate there, follow these steps:

  1. While in SecurityTrax, click on the Company Menu Icon Screen Shot 2020-02-05 at 7.15.38 PM.png .
  2. Select Company Settings under the Admin section.
  3. Navigate down to the Content Management section and click on Funding.

 

Funders

In the Funding page, you will see the Funder section at the top with a list of entries.

To add a new Funder
  1. In the Funder section, click on Add.
  2. Fill out the Funder details.
    1. Note: Funders that are not Active will not show up as an option when trying to create a Funding entry on a Customer record.
  3. Click Save.
To View/Edit a Funder
  1. In the Funder section, click on the desired funder row.
  2. You can make any changes here.
  3. Click Save.

 

Funder Selection Reasons

In the Funding page, you will see the Funder Selection Reasons section in the middle with a list of entries.

To add a new Funder Selection Reason
  1. In the Funder Selection Reasons section, click Add.
  2. Fill out the Funder Selection Reason name and select the Active status.
    1. Note: Funder Selection Reasons that are not Active will not show up as an option when trying to create a Funding entry on a Customer record.
  3. Click Save.
To View/Edit a Funder Selection Reason
  1. In the Funder Selection Reason section, click on the reason row.
  2. You can make any changes here.
  3. Click Save.

 

Funding Transaction Types

In the Funding page, you will see the Funding Transaction Types section at the bottom with a list of existing entries.

To add a new Funding Transaction Types
  1. In the Funding Transaction Types section, click on Add.
  2. Fill out the Type name and set the Active status.
    1. Note: Funding Transaction Types that are not Active will not show up as an option when trying to create a Funding entry on a Customer record.
  3. Click Save.
To View/Edit a Funding Transaction Type
  1. In the Funding Transaction Types section, click on the type row.
  2. You can make any changes here.
  3. Click Save.
