How to Manage the Customer Dashboard

The customer dashboard displays the customer account at-a-glance. The customer dashboard encompasses the necessary tools and summary details needed to view a customer account record at-a-glance.

To view the customer dashboard

  1. While in a customer record, click Dashboard in the left menu.

Note: This will open to the customer dashboard, which is full of helpful information and cards as described below.

 

Card Details:

Main card

The main card on the customer dashboard shows the general status and details for the customer. Here are some of the things you will find on this card:

  • You can see if the customer has an appointment scheduled or equipment has been installed.
  • The customer's contact information.
  • The customer's address on an interactive map (only if address entered is geo-coded).
  • The account's sales rep and technician.
  • Central Station and Interactive Services Provider information (if any).
  • The Source and Source Campaign.

Note: All of the following dashboard cards can be arranged and positioned in the order of your preference (all customer dashboards will be displayed using the same configuration). To do this, click the Cog iconScreen Shot 2019-02-26 at 4.04.22 PM.pngon the Dashboard tab in the left menu. Drag and drop the cards to your liking, and click Save. To ignore all changes, click Cancel. To change all of cards back to "factory settings," click Reset.

Appointments card

Here you will see the most recent appointments.

To view all appointments:
  1. Click on the Arrow iconScreen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.42.42 PM.png.

Note: This will take you to the Appointments page of the customer record.

Credit Score card

Here you will see the customer's credit score.

To go to the Credit section of the customer record:
  1. Click on the Arrow icon Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.42.42 PM.png.

Note: This will take you to the Credit page for the customer.

Emergency Contacts card

Here you will see the customer's emergency contacts with their priority listing.

To go to the Contacts section of the customer record:
  1. Click on the Arrow icon Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.42.42 PM.png.

Note: This will take you to the Contacts page of the customer record.

Interactive Service Provider card

On this card you can see the status of the Interactive Service Provider for the customer. If not yet connected, you can connect directly from this card by following the instructions below. If connected, the card will show the summary of the connection. Connecting to Alarm.com will also provide 2 more cards: Trouble Conditions and Best Practices. See below for more details.

To connect the Interactive Services Provider:
  1. On the card, click on Manage.

Note: This will open the create window for the Interactive Services Provider. To learn how to connect the account see How to Manage Accounts with Alarm.com.

Interactive Service Provider - Trouble Conditions card

This card will only show if the account is connected to Alarm.com. Any trouble conditions for the account will be listed here.

To go to the Interactive Service Provider section of the customer record:
  1. Click on the Arrow icon Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.42.42 PM.png.

Note: This will take you to the System page of the customer record. Scroll down to the Interactive Service Provider section.

Interactive Service Provider - Best Practices card

This card will only show if the account is connected to Alarm.com. The Best Practices and their statuses will be listed here.

To go to the Interactive Service Provider section of the customer record:
  1. Click on the Arrow icon Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.42.42 PM.png.

Note: This will take you to the System page of the customer record. Scroll down to the Interactive Service Provider section.

Notes card

On this card you will see the most recent notes for the customer.

To view or edit a note:
  1.  Click on the Edit icon Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.44.30 PM.png on the note row.
  2. Make any desired changes.
  3. Click Save.
To go to the Notes section of the customer record:
  1. Click on the Arrow icon Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.42.42 PM.png.

Note: This will take you to the Notes & Tasks page of the customer record.

Tasks card

This card will show a summary of all tasks, including: total outstanding tasks; number of tasks with high, medium, and low priority, as well as tasks with no priority; and the number of overdue tasks for each category.

To go to the Tasks section of the customer record:
  1. Click on the Arrow icon Screen Shot 2018-11-21 at 2.42.42 PM.png.

Note: This will take you to the Notes & Tasks page of the customer record.
