Transfers
Allows you to move on-hand Equipment Items from one Inventory Recipient to another.

Available Count
The count of Equipment Items that the Target has available for use.
Equipment Item
Represents the items that your company uses in the course of business operations. Note: In SecurityTrax, this list does not contain Equipment Kits, which are treated separately.
Source
In an inventory transaction, the Inventory Recipient that is the source or provider of the Equipment Items.
Target
In an inventory transaction, the Inventory Recipient that is the target or receiver of the Equipment Items.
Transferable Count
The count of the Equipment Item that the Source has available for transfer. This is a computed count based on On Hand values, pending transfers and orders.
Usage
Creating a new transfer
While in Company Inventory, click on Transfers in the left menu.
- Click Add.
- Select the desired Source and Target.
- A list of all Equipment Items will be shown providing:
- Transferable Count - the count the Source has available for transfer. Holding your mouse over the count will show details about how the count is calculated.
- Available Count - the count the Target has available for use. Holding your mouse over the count will show details about how the count is calculated.
- Enter the count of Equipment Items that should be transferred from the Target to the Source.
- The system will not allow transferring of Equipment Items that the Source does not have on-hand.
- Click Review.
- A summary of the Equipment Items and their associated counts to transfer will be shown for your review and confirmation.
- Click Save.
- A separate transfer for each Equipment Item will be created.
Note: Until the transfer has been accepted by the Target, no changes are made to the on-hand counts of either the Source or the Target.
Approving or rejecting a transfer
While in Company Inventory, click on Transfers in the left menu.
- Click on the transfer you want to work with.
- Review the details of the transfer.
- If you want to approve the transfer:
- Click Approve.
- You will be asked to confirm that you want to approve the transfer.
- Click Approve.
- If you want to reject the transfer:
- Click Reject.
- You will be asked to confirm that you want to reject the transfer.
- Click Reject.
Note: Transfers do not effect on hand counts until they are Approved.
Tranfer Policies on Permissions
When setting permissions on Transfers, there are 4 different policies to consider.
- Equipment Transfers Source User
- Restricts transfers User can view in My Inventory to only Transfers where they are the Source.
- Equipment Transfers Target User
- Restricts transfers User can view in My Inventory to only Transfers where they are the Target.
- Equipment Transfers Created By
- Restricts transfers User can view in My Inventory to only Transfers where they created it.
- Equipment Transfers Source or Target
- Restricts transfers User can view in My Inventory to only Transfers where they are the Source or Target.
