How to Manage Work Orders

To view/edit a work order for a customer

  1. While on a customer record, click on Work Orders in the left menu.
  2. Click anywhere on the row of the desired Work Order to view and/or edit the Work Order.
  3. Make any desired changes on the Work Order Detail page.
  4. Click Save

To create a work order

  1. While on the Work Orders page, click Add in the upper right.
  2. Choose from among the template options in the Work Order Details page.
    • Note: Template options will only be shown if templates have been previously created in the Content Management section of the Admin page (see How To Manage Work Order Templates for additional information). 
  3. Fill out any additional information in the Work Order section that was not completed by the selected template.

  1. In the Select Work To Perform section, below, select the actual planned work  for the appointment.
    • Note: Clicking on the column header (Install, Remove, Service) will set all selectable rows in the list.
  2. Click Save.
    • Note: Even though saving will automatically place you into the Add Appointment page, you can switch tabs in the left menu to create additional appointments, edit the details, or view the list of appointments at any time.

To add an appointment

  1. Click Add Appointment in the left menu.
  2. Select a Scheduling Profile. To learn more about Scheduling Profiles, see Introducing Scheduling Profiles.
  3. Click Check Availability.

Default User Scheduler

  1. When using the User Scheduler profile, enter filter date and duration of the desired appointment.
  2. Click Find Technicians.
  3. Click on the desired time on the technician row. 
  4. Click Schedule.
  5. Fill out the required fields in the Appointments page and click Save.

Default Slot Scheduler

  1. When using a slot scheduler click Check Availability.
  2. Select a time slot for the appointment.
  3. Fill out the required fields and click Save

Note:  This can not be performed if the customer address is not associated with a valid geocode.

To view the appointments list

  1. Click Appointments to see the scheduled appointments.

To edit an appointment for a work order

  1. Click anywhere on the row of the desired Appointment.
  2. Make any desired edits.
  3. Click Save.

To delete an appointment for a work order

  1. Click on Delete in the lower left of the page.
  2. A confirmation message will appear. 
  3. Click Delete to confirm.
