How to Manage the User Card

To manage the user card

  1. While on the Company Org Chart page, click on the ellipses iconScreen Shot 2019-06-25 at 2.20.21 PM.pngat the bottom-center of the desired user card.
  2. Select the desired function from the dropdown list (Move This User, Add Direct Report, Swap This Entry, or Delete This Entry).

To move this user and all its children

  1. Click on Move This User iconOrgMove.png from the dropdown menu.
  2. Start typing the first name of the person who this user will report to as the user dropdown list appears.
  3. Select the new up-line manager's name so that it appears in the dropdown box.
  4. Click Save.
    • Note: Once successfully moved, you will see the person directly beneath their new up-line manager.

To add a direct report to the user

  1. Click on Add Direct Report iconOrgAdd.png from the dropdown menu.
  2. Start typing the first name of the person that will be their direct report as the dropdown list appears.
    • Note: You will only see names of individuals that are in the Uncategorized Users group.
  3. Select the new direct report's name so that it appears in the dropdown box.
  4. Click Save.
    • Note: Once successfully added, you will see the person just added directly beneath their new up-line manager.

To swap this entry with another user

  1. Determine who the user will switch places with from the Uncategorized Users group.
    • Note: Currently, this function does not swap users from the main organizational tree.
  2. Click the ellipses iconScreen Shot 2019-06-25 at 2.20.21 PM.pngat the bottom-center of the desired user card.
  3. Start typing the first name of the person that this user will switch places with.
  4. Select the user so that the name appears in the dropdown box.
  5. Click Save.
    • Note: Once successfully added, you will see the person just added directly beneath their new up-line manager.

To delete the entry

  1. Click the ellipses iconScreen Shot 2019-06-25 at 2.20.21 PM.pngat the bottom-center of the desired user card.
  2. Select Delete This Entry.
  3. A confirmation message will appear with the user's name to be removed.
  4. Click Delete, again, to confirm.
    • Note: The user, and all the associated children, if any, are not "deleted" but is placed into the Uncategorized Users group.
