How to Manage the Calendar

From sales and service appointments to installation and time off, your company calendar brings it all together on one screen to provide you with what your technicians and sales people are doing throughout the entire day, at-a-glance. And with one click, you can change any aspect of an appointment, from type and personnel to day, time, and duration. Or if you're visually oriented, you can simply drag and drop the appointments to another person, another time, or extend or shorten the appointment length.

To view the calendar

  1. While logged into SecurityTrax, click on your Company Name or the Hamburger icon Screen Shot 2019-07-09 at 1.29.49 PM.png in the upper-left header.
    • Note: Once clicked, the hamburger will change to Screen Shot 2019-07-09 at 1.30.41 PM.png.
  2. Under Company, select Calendar. 

To move an appointment

  1. Click on the appointment.
  2. Drag the appointment to the desired technician and time.
    • Note: When the Drag & Drop feature is functioning correctly, you will see the appointment-time box enclosed by dots.

To lengthen/shorten a technician appointment

  1. Click on the appointment.
  2. Drag on left or right edge of the appointment to the desired length of time.
    • Note: To shorten the appointment, you'll need to drag the left or right edge beneath the current appointment-time box (when the Drag & Drop feature is functioning correctly, you will see the appointment-time box enclosed by dots).

To view an appointment tooltip

  1. Click on the appointment. The tooltip will appear above the appointment.

To view the Work Order associated with the appointment

  1. Click the Truck iconTruck.pngon the tooltip.
  2. The Work Order window will appear.

To edit an appointment

  1. Click the Edit icon Edit Pencil.png on the tooltip.
  2. The edit Appointment window will appear.
  3. Make desired changes.
  4. Click Save.

To access the customer record

  1. Click on the Customer icon Customer.pngon the tooltip.
    • Note: This will take you directly to the customer record, with all it's tools.

To access the Google map

  1. Click on the Map PointerMap Pointer.png icon on the tooltip.
    • Note: This will take you directly to the Google Maps site with focus on that address, in a separate browser tab (exit out of the tab to return you to the Calendar).
