How to Manage Partner Companies

Introduction

In SecurityTrax you are able to track Leads and Customers by using Partner Companies. Partner Companies can be utilized as both an internal and external way to track the sources from which your lead or customer come from.

Leads require that your select a source, while customers allow you to enter in a source, or I, if you wish.

  • Note: In order to have a Partner Company display in the source drop down on either the lead or customer, you need to ensure that they have been set to sell leads or customers.

In SecurityTrax you can also set Partner Company Campaigns to provide further detail as an aspect of the Lead or Customer generation process. Learn more about Partner Companies Campaigns here.

Terms

Partner Company

An internal or external source you can set on a customer to track it's origin.

Partner Company Campaigns

A sub-group of a Partner Company to further help identify how the Lead or Customer was generated.

Usage

View 

  1. While logged into SecurityTrax, click on your Company Name or the Hamburger icon Screen Shot 2019-07-09 at 1.29.49 PM.png in the upper-left header.
    • Note: Once clicked, the hamburger will change to Screen Shot 2019-07-09 at 1.30.41 PM.png.
  2. Under Admin, click Company Settings.
  3. Scroll down to the Integrations section.
  4. In the Integrations section, click Partner Companies.

Create

  1. In the Partner Companies section, click Add.
  2. In the Add Partner Company window, fill out the desired fields.
    • Note: In order for a Partner Company to display on the Source drop down on the Lead or Customer they need to have the Sells Leads slider active. 
  3. Click Save.

Edit

  1. In the Partner Companies section, click anywhere on the row of the desired partner company.
  2. On the Company page, click on the row of the desired partner company.
  3. Update the desired fields.
  4. Click Save.

Apply Tag

  1. In the Partner Companies section, click anywhere on the row of the desired partner company.
  2. Just above the Company page, click the Apply Tag icon Apply Tag Icon.png .
  3. Inside the Apply Tag window, search for the desired tag.
  4. Click on the desired tag.
  5. Close the Apply Tag window.

Remove Tag

  1. In the Partner Companies section, click anywhere on the row of the desired partner company.

EITHER

  1. Click the inside the desired tag.
  2. Click Remove inside the Confirmation window.

OR

  1. Just above the Company page, click the Apply Tag icon Apply Tag Icon.png .
  2. In the Apply Tag window, search for the desired tag.
  3. Click on the desired tag.
  4. Close the Apply Tag window.
