How to Create a New Permission Group

To create a new permission group

  1. While on the Permission Groups page, click on the New Group dropdown arrow Screen Shot 2019-06-12 at 1.58.52 PM.png and select from the options (New Group from Scratch or New Group from Existing).

To create a new group from scratch

  1. In the New Group window, fill in the required Name field.
  2. Click Create New Group.
  3. Enter the optional Description field, if desired, in the Group Details section.
  4. Make sure to choose the needed roles from the Select Roles section.
    • Note: Clicking anywhere on the role box will highlight the box and place a check icon Screen Shot 2019-06-12 at 2.22.37 PM.pngin upper-right corner.
  5. Now select the needed Group Permissions for this new group.
  6. Once all needed permissions have been selected, click Save Changes on the main page.
  7. At this point, you can Duplicate the Group, Delete the Group, Add Users, or Cancel out of the window (see explanations, below).

To create a new group from an existing group

  1. In the New Group from Existing window, select an existing group from the dropdown menu.
  2. Fill in the required Name field.
  3. Click Create New Group.
  4. Enter the optional Description field, if desired, in the Group Details section.
  5. If additional roles are needed, make sure to choose, or modify, the needed roles from the Select Roles section.

  6. Now select the needed Group Permissions for this new group.
  7. Click Save Changes.
  8. At this point, you can Duplicate the Group, Delete the Group, Add Users, or Cancel out of the window (see explanations, below).
